Payment Terms

Pre-bookings (six weeks prior to intended stay)

Guests are kindly requested to pay a £100 deposit at the time of confirming their booking to secure their holiday home rental. Guests are required to pay the balance of the rental fee agreed six weeks prior to their stay. 


Last-minute bookings (within six weeks of intended stay)

Guests are kindly requested to pay the full amount of the rental fee agreed for bookings confirmed within six weeks prior to their intended stay. 


Refund of deposits 

Deposits on cancellations three months prior to the confirmed booking date may be returned. Cancellations within three months of the confirmed booking date are non-refundable although this can be at our discretion.

Hill Street Cottage really value our guests experience and want to ensure your stay with us is a memorable and positive experience.  With this in mind, we have adopted a Good Housekeeping





Guest Information

Check in

Unless agreed in advance and confirmed in writing, guests can check in to Hill Street Cottage after 3pm on the day of arrival.

Check in will be by a key safe box at the front of the cottage,  the code for this will given to you prior to arrival.


Check out

Unless agreed in advance and confirmed in writing, guests are requested to vacate (check out of) the cottage by 10.00am on the date of departure.

Hill Street Cottage have the right to apply an additional charge for delay in guests checking out after 10.00am. The minimum charge will be the equivalent of one day’s rental based on standard tariff rates or actual ‘loss of sales’ if the future guests have to be re-accommodated as a direct result of the delayed departure/check-out.


Property inspections

We reserve the right to inspect the cottage if required during guest stays and/or prior to departure (check-out) . 


Staying/paying guests

Guests will be requested to confirm the number of guests staying in the cottage, this cannot exceed 4 guests in line with local council restrictions.


Cleaning

We request that guests leave the cottage in a ‘reasonably’ clean condition. We reserve the right to charge guests for any additional cleaning required that would be considered beyond reasonable. 


Smoking

We do have a no smoking policy in the cottage for all guests as this keeps the cottage at its best for everyone.  Guests and/or their visitors are requested not to smoke within the Cottage or garage space area.  The outside Patio area is perfect for those who want to indulge.   


Damage to property

Guests are kindly requested to report any damages to us immediately, we do understand that accidents happen.


Personal belongings and vehicles

We do not accept any responsibility for personal belongings or vehicles of guests using the properties and we will not accept any third party liability.


Appliance, power or utilities failure or malfunction

We inspect our property prior to the arrival of guests to ensure that all appliances are in full working order. In the event of any malfunction of general household appliances, we will endeavour to organise repair or replacement as soon as practical.


Property keys

Guests will be allocated a set of property keys when checking in. If guests lose or misplace their property keys please contact us to enable a replacement set to be made available, a small cost may be charged for the replacement keys.


Tariff rates 

All rates are correct at the time of printing and may be subject to change. All promotional offers are subject to room availability or specific occupancy levels required. Please do call us for shorter breaks as we may be able to accomodate.

Animals 

Well-behaved pets are always welcome and of course respectful owners.
